RC transmitter antennas consist of a single coaxial wire that is held in place with an antenna shaft. Occasionally, antenna wires are damaged during use, which may be caused by accidentally dropping the transmitter or it getting water or heat damage. Replacement of a RC transmitter antenna is a straightforward procedure that requires only a screwdriver to install.
8 Always remove the batteries from RC transmitters before taking them apart to prevent accidental electric shock.
Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw holding the antenna base plate to the transmitter housing. Pull the antenna assembly out of the transmitter.
Move wires that are near the edges of the transmitter housing to prevent them from being pinched.
Test the transmitter to ensure that the antenna now works by turning on the RC model and walking 30 steps away from the model. Stand with the transmitter pointed at the model; if you installed the antenna correctly you will be able to control the model.
