In addition to uploading videos and photos from your computer’s hard drive to Facebook, the social-networking site allows you to create videos right on the site. As long as you have a webcam, you can make a video up to 20 minutes long. Once a video is saved, you can use the “Edit Video” feature to select a privacy setting — either share your clip with everyone, or restrict viewership to friends only.
Step One
Point your browser to the Facebook homepage and click the "Photos" link in the left column of the screen. If you don't see the "Photos" link, click "More" to expose the full list of your programs to find it.
Step Two
Click "Video" in the left column of the screen, under the "Photos" section.
Step Three
Click the "Upload Video" button in the top right corner of the screen. Select the "Record Video" tab.
Step Four
Check the circle next to "Allow" in the Adobe flash settings window, if prompted. Click the red square at the bottom of the video screen to begin recording, and click the white square to stop recording.
Step Five
Click the "Save" button. Enter a name and description in the labeled fields and tag friends, if applicable, by typing their names in the "Tags" field. Click "Save."
