Bluetooth is a wireless communication protocol that allows devices to communicate wirelessly. Unlike many wireless items, one Bluetooth receiver can communicate with any Bluetooth device, eliminating the need for a separate wireless receiver for each device. Many Alpine stereos include a built-in Bluetooth receiver, allowing you to make and receive phone calls wirelessly using your Alpine head unit. When a call is received, its audio will played through your car speakers.
Step One
Press the button labeled "Sound/Setup" for approximately two seconds to open the Setup menu.
Step Two
Turn the rotary knob until "INT Mute" is displayed, then press the "Play/Pause/Ent" button.
Step Three
Turn the rotary knob to set the "INT Mute" to the "Off" setting, then press the "Mute" button to return to the previous screen.
Step Four
Turn the rotary knob until "BT IN" is displayed on the screen, then press the "Play/Pause/Ent" button. Change this setting to "BT ADAPTER," then press the "Mute" button to return to the previous screen.
Step Five
Turn the rotary knob until "Visible M" is displayed on the screen, then press the "Play/Pause/Ent" button. Change this setting to "VISI M ON," then press the "Mute" button to return to the previous screen.
Step Six
Set your cell phone to "Pair" mode, using the instructions provided by the cell phone manufacturer. The Alpine unit will display the PIN code "0000" on the screen.
Step Seven
Enter the PIN code into the cell phone to complete the connection to the Alpine radio. The word "Connected" will be displayed on the radio display. The Bluetooth phone is now connected to the Alpine radio and ready to receive phone calls.
