Install a loft light with this easy to follow guide. First ensure that you have the proper equipment and material, for example, screwdrivers and power testers. Then, ensure that the roof is in a good state before starting the job. After ascertaining this, get some power from any of the lights in the structure, followed by clipping the wires in place. Next, adjust the switch in order to make sure it is in the right position, after which the light should be fitted.

Connect some 1.5 t&e into one of the ceiling roses below the loft floor so you get a live, neutral and earth and take the end of this cable into a patress box for your loft switch where ever you are going to put it.
