Step One
Hob element works but unable to regulate temperature - energy regulator operated - Energy regulator required
Step Two
Hob element works on some numbers but not others - 6 heat switch operated - Switch required
Step Three
Hob element won’t work at all - Switch or element required
Step Four
Element stays on – unless turned off at the mains - Energy regulator required
Step Five
Hob won’t boil a pan - A pan containing 2 pints of water should boil within 7 minutes. If not, ensure pan has flat bottom and pan size fits in with those specified in the appliance handbook. If still not boiling, element is faulty.
Step Six
Element has gone off but hot hob warning light won’t turn off - Faulty limiter on one of the elements – this may only be available as part of a complete element.
