Bamboo blinds can be an elegant choice for home and are an environmentally friendly option. These blinds come in a variety of styles and colors to coordinate with your home decor. Problems can arise with bamboo blinds such as broken slats or frayed ladder strings. It can be relatively easy to repair these problems.
Pull on the lift cord to fully extend the bamboo blinds and use the tilt wand to open the blinds. The slats should be in the horizontal opened position. Lift the blinds out of the brackets on the wall. You may need to use a chair or ladder to reach them. Place the blinds on a flat work surface such as a table.
Repair the lift caps on bamboo blinds if they are broken. Replace the lift cord on the bamboo blinds by pulling both ends of the damaged lift cord up into the head box, over the pulleys and down and out. Pull one lift cord over the second pulley and the other one above the head box to the farthest pulley. Feed the lift cord through the slats to the bottom rail and secure them in place with the end caps.
