Old houses sometimes have windows that might not look their best. The paint might be peeling or simply needs touching up. Removing the paint from old windows is easy and most people are able to complete this project in no time. With a little effort, you will have brand new looking windows that will only enhance the beauty of your home.
Fill a spray bottle and mist the windows that have the peeling paint. This will help to keep dust from flying around the house, and is helpful in case the paint contains lead.
Use a scraper to scape off all of the old paint on the windows. All the paint should easily come off. If some paint is not completely removed, don't worry it will be fine.
After all of the paint is scraped off, open the can of paint and make sure to thoroughly mix it.
Using the paint brush, paint over the windows. Make sure that you go with the grain of the wood so that the paint is properly absorbed.
Once the windows are completely painted, allow them to dry. After they dry completely, add one or two more coats until the windows are evenly painted.
