Purified water has become popular for both drinking and cooking. Many people believe that removing the chlorinated and mineralized taste present in treated water will improve not only the taste of the water but also the taste of food cooked in the water or made with it. Some companies have capitalized on this belief by selling water purifiers that either attach to the sink tap or the water tap filter in your refrigerator, but you can make your own filter for much less money with just a little bit of effort.
Drill a hole in the bottom of a water bottle. This hole should be just barely larger than the opening of a plastic straw.
Cover the inside bottom of the water bottle with the coffee filter.
