Netflix was founded in 1997 in California, and it began offering DVD rentals and sales in 1998. In addition to physical media, the company offers Web-based streaming services that can be sent directly to your TV via a Roku Netflix Player, which logs into your Netflix account and provides a selection of entertainment that can be accessed instantly.
Step One
Plug the Roku Netflix Player into your TV as you would a DVD player. Plug in the AV, component or HDMI cables securely.
Step Two
Turn on the TV and the Roku Netflix Player. Follow the on-screen instructions to add your network. If you have an internet connection that isn't wireless, plug an internet cable from a router or modem into the Netflix Player.
Step Three
Log into your Netflix account and select a program that you wish to stream to your television.
