When first installed, your laminate flooring probably was shiny, giving it the look of a real wood floor. However, over time, laminate flooring can start to look dull and worn. While you can take a buffer to a dull wood floor, the same technique will ruin your laminate flooring. Fortunately, some other simple strategies can get your laminate flooring back in top shape.
Step One
Mix equal parts of warm water and vinegar in a bucket.
Step Two
Clean your floor with the vinegar solution and a microfiber cloth. Dull, streaky floors often result from cleaning with soap, oil or wax-based products. The dullness is actually build-up.
Step Three
Wipe the floor dry with another clean microfiber cloth to eliminate any leftover residue or prevent deposits from hard water from settling into the flooring.
Step Four
Spray a scratch remover onto the affected area and buff surface scratches gently, using a circular motion.
