We hear the word ‘chore’ and immediately it represents something dreadful and terrifying for us that we have to do, and we would do anything else not to do it!
You might depend on your kids to perform some chores, but what if you don’t have kids or your kids are away? You don’t have to daydream about someone doing some chores for you. You just have to do an online search and hire someone. It doesn’t get simpler than that.
Here are some of the most dreaded yet simple chores that people may want to get professional help from time to time.
Mowing the lawn could go under the most boring of all chores to do. The back and forth motion, plus a noisy sound don’t sit too well for many people, though they cherish the idea of a perfectly mowed lawn. Professional lawn care companies can differ in prices according to your needs, but in the end, you can come out with a great looking lawn.
Another dreaded chore is house cleaning. Many days you do a bit of house cleaning, a bit of dusting, a bit of mopping and so on. But those little bits we do regularly aren’t to be compared to the results you would get from a domestic or commercial cleaning of your home, office or building. Best of all, you can arrange a time that suits you best. If you don’t want to be in the middle of the cleaning, you can arrange for a weekend cleaning, while you enjoy something else to do. Commercial house cleanings can be done daily, weekly or monthly.
In one survey, organization and dusting went hand in hand to become the least favored chore. A mere 11% of those surveyed said they like it. Perhaps more to the point is not about liking it or not, it’s about that many people don’t know how to organize. In the same survey, a whopping 78% admitted that they do have hidden clutter in their home; which is akin to sweeping under the rug when guests arrive. Professional organizers may charge by the hour or by the project.
The dreaded lines of the supermarket is one reason this chore is on the list. You can use apps instead that will do the grocery shopping for you and get it delivered straight to your door, eliminating the time it takes you to go to the grocery store, shop, stand in line and come back. If you don’t like grocery shopping, there’s a high chance you don’t like cooking either! If that’s the case, there are plenty of prepared meals programs you can subscribe to.
No matter how simple a chore maybe, it’s still time-consuming and often involves things most of us really don’t like to do. But thankfully, there will always be others who like to do these chores for a small fee in return. It’s not a bad idea to buy your peace of mind, plus get things done quicker and better than you can on your own.
