Roku is a streaming player that you can connect to your home network either wired or wirelessly, depending on the device model. It streams music, movies, and TV shows from the Internet, right to your TV. You can add channels or remove them when you no longer want to view shows from that channel. Removing channels from the Roku streaming box is easy. You will need a working Wi-Fi connection to access the Roku store, which is where you have to go to manage your Roku channels.
Accessing the Roku Display on the TV - Turn on your TV. Hit the Power button on your TV or the TV’s remote to power on the TV.
Head to the Roku display. Using the TV’s remote, change the display to the one you have your Roku hooked up to, which is either HDMI 1, 2, and so forth. Once you’ve changed the display on the TV, you will be on the Roku home screen.
Deleting Channels - Access the Channel Store. Head to the Channel Store by navigating the menu on the left of the screen using the remote. Press the left button on the remote to access the menu, highlight the Channel Store, and press “OK.” You will then be taken to My Channels, where you will see all the channels installed on your Roku device.
Select the channel you want to delete. Press the right button on the remote to go to your installed channels, and highlight the channel you want to delete. Once highlighted, press the “OK” button to view more options.
Delete the channel. Select “Remove Channel” from the list of options. Afterwards, highlight “Yes” on the confirmation dialog box, and press “OK.” The channel should then be removed from the My Channels list, and disappear from the Roku home screen.
