Riding a motorbike gives you an instant air of cool, whether it’s a pleasure drive or your preferred means of transportation. Because motorbikes leave you exposed, safety is key when you drive one. Always ride with a proper helmet, gear, gloves and steel boots with steel shanks inside.
Start the engine by pressing or kicking the start button on the motorcycle.
Hold the clutch lever towards the handle bar.
Increase the throttle slowly. Release the clutch smoothly or you will get a jerking motion as you start to drive the motorcycle.
Let the bike reach the required torque and then use Step 3 to reach the desired speed. Drive slowly until you get the feel of the bike. Once you master the basics, you have plenty of time to be a speed demon.
Stop the motorcycle. Apply both brakes at the same time and place at least one foot on the ground to stabilize the bike as you come to a stop.
Practice mastering control of the bike and all of its functions. Learn to control the speed of the motorbike with the throttle or accelerator. Practice applying both brakes simultaneously when you stop the bike.
