It can be rather frustrating when you go through your regular cleaning routine, only to notice that all of the glass surfaces you have cleaned have streaks. But all you need to eliminate them are a couple of common household items, and the next time you clean glass and mirrors, you can stand back and admire your work.
Step One
Fill a bucket with about 1 gallon of water. Add 1/2 cup of vinegar and mix. You can also use a small plastic bowl or mix a solution and use it in a sprayer.
Step Two
Dampen the cloth in the water and vinegar solution and squeeze out the excess. The cloth doesn't need to be dripping wet, just damp enough to clean the surface. Wipe the glass or mirrored surface using a circular cleaning motion. Leave the surface moist.
Step Three
Polish to a dry shine using a crumpled-up newspaper sheet. Use only black and white printed paper for better results. Do not polish with another cloth, because the cloth is what causes the streaking. Repeat the application as needed or apply pure vinegar directly on stubborn streaks, and again polish to a shine.
