Update the look of your home by using one of the easiest and most affordable ways imaginable. Whatever your home’s decor, there’s a door out there that will complement it, and hanging these doors is surprisingly easy. You can choose between various wood species, finishes and glass or panel patterns. Expect to pay around £70 to £150 for a basic unit at your local DIY store, though or course more expensive models are available from specialty distributors if your budget stretches that far or you really want to make a statement.
Measure the rough opening size where you want to install a new door. You'll need the dimensions horizontally, from stud to stud, and vertically, from the floor to the top of the opening.
Use three nails on each jamb to hold the unit in place temporarily. Don't hammer these nails in all the way yet, as you'll probably have to remove them to adjust the door.
Nail the unit into place, making sure to countersink the temporary nails you installed previously.
