CD’s are a popular medium for storing data, music and video files. While easy to play and store, CD’s are not extraordinarily durable. If left unprotected, the surface of a CD is easily scratched and can be rendered unreadable. However, you can fix these scratches by using basic items found in your home. Properly applying the items will restore the CD easily.
Remove the CD scratches with a banana. Peel a banana and rub the open face of the peel onto the surface of the CD for five minutes. Be sure to work from the inside of the CD directly outwards and avoid any circular motion.
Run the CD under warm water to wash off all of the banana peel or toothpaste. Apply a small amount of dish detergent and use your fingers to rinse it off.
