Removing grease from exterior walls and windows by mixing a homemade cleaning solution using ammonia to cut the grease from both surfaces and adding rubbing alcohol to help prevent streaking on the windows. A home’s exterior walls and windows are subject to all the outside elements. Pollen and even rain can create a greasy buildup on the exterior of your home that will not wash away using only a hose.
Mix 1/2 cup ammonia, 1 pint of 70 percent rubbing alcohol and 1 tsp. of dishwashing liquid into a gallon bucket. Fill the remainder of the bucket with warm water.
Remove excess water with a squeegee or dry the windows with newspaper to prevent streaking.
