Start a twig fire with this simple ‘how to’ guide.
On a morning day trip with three new members of Bushcraft USA, we went out to practice some bushcraft skills. One of these members decided to do the Bushclass USA lesson “Student Practice for Twig Fire.” Here is the video of her completed lesson. I must say she did a great job of gathering her various sizes of twigs, setting her base and prop and igniting her cotton ball tinder and birch bark to get her twigs going. It was a bit of a rainy day, but she did find plenty of dry, standing and dead twigs which had a crisp snap to them. Here is the video of her completed lesson. I hope you enjoy.
