Electric and nitro-powered RC buggies are designed for off-road racing, but they still need to be cleaned and maintained. Dirt bike racers and ATV riders routinely clean their rigs because they know that rust, corrosion and buildup can cause performance problems and even breakdowns if left unchecked. RC buggies are no different and should be cleaned after every driving session.
Remove the body and use an appropriate wrench to remove the tires from the chassis. Set the body and tires aside.
Spray a liberal amount of Simple Green on a rag and then wipe down the chassis and all of the suspension components. If you do not have Simple Green, submerge the rag in soapy water and wring out as much water as possible before wiping down the chassis.
Spray WD-40 on the tire side walls and wipe the excess oil off with a rag. This will give the tires a nice shine and condition the rubber compound to prevent cracking.
