The headlights on a car play an important role in terms of the overall safety and performance of the vehicle. Headlights help provide better visibility while driving not only at night, but also during the day. In fact, statistics show that the “failure to see other road users early enough is a contributing factor in four out of five daytime intersection accidents,” according to Open Road. When the headlights on your car dim or die out completely, you must change the headlight bulbs.
Lift the car hood up and hold it up with the hood support rod or hood support latch.
Pull the connector, which connects from the car to the back of the headlight bulb, out to remove it.
Plug the connector back in to connect the new headlight bulb to the car.
Test the headlights out to ensure they both work properly.
