A simple delicacy, rare but highly original. Simply follow the steps below for a mouth watering sweet and sour delight.
Step One
Ingredients: 125 grams of dried apricot,125 grams dried prunes,125 grams dried peaches,125 grams of seedless raisins,3 cups of vinegar,2-3 cups of jaggery (coarse brown sugar or unprocessed brown sugar),2 teaspoons of fine salt,3 teaspoons of chili powder (alternatively 3 teaspoons mustard sauce).
Step Two
Chop fruit into halves or quarters. Preferably into smaller bite size pieces.
Step Three
Add vinegar into a medium sized pot.
Step Four
Now add salt, chili powder(mustard sauce), coarse brown sugar and continue to boil for 5-7 minutes.
Step Five
Add dried fruit to mixture and allow to boil for another 5 minutes, until mixture thickens.
Step Six
Remove from stove or burner.
