Pastisio, a Greek main dish made with pasta and hamburg, is a very delicious meal. This recipe is somewhat complicated, so be sure you read through the directions entirely before making it.
Step One
Preheat your oven to 325º Fahrenheit.
Step Two
Boil water for the spaghetti. While the water is boiling, put the cooking oil in a frying pan to prep for the ground beef.
Step Three
Put the pasta in the boiling water. Stir occasionally to avoid the spaghetti sticking.
Step Four
Add the ground beef once the cooking oil is hot. Be sure to evenly cook the meat to prevent food-born illnesses.
Step Five
Stir the cinnamon into the cooking beef. Strain the spaghetti. Pour it back into the pan it was cooked in.
Step Six
Take the beef off the heat once it has browned evenly.
Step Seven
Beat the eggs in a large bowl. Melt the stick of butter.
Step Eight
Mix the butter, grated Romano cheese, and ground beef in with the pasta.
Step Nine
Pour the pasta mixture into the 9×13 inch pan. Drizzle the beaten eggs over the pasta, and cover with foil.
Step Ten
Put the pan into the oven. Bake for 1 1/2 hours; remove the foil in the last 5 minutes. The top should be a light crispy texture and colored golden brown.
