Make the large bag of herb seasoned cubed stuffing mix according to package directions. It is essential that you use chicken broth and not water.
Saute the onions and celery and add to the mix.
Typically, that’s it, but to make it better: Add 6 pieces torn white bread. Take the egg and milk and beat well. Drizzle over the white bread.
Peel, core, and cut into small chunks 2 green apples and toss in with the bread and stuffing. Add some sage.
Remember not to stuff the turkey tightly as this will cause the stuffing to become rubbery.
Separate the skin from the membrane at the thigh joints and put some stuffing in there, too. Put a handful under the skin from the neck. Any leftover – put it in a greased casserole dish and bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until hot. Yum!
