A very easy dessert to make, and nutritious too. It’s thick, sweet and comforting. You simply must try it!
Ingredients – 1 3/4 kg – red carrots peeled and grated, 1/4 cup – milk, 2 cups – sugar, 400 gms – mava (solidified milk), 7 tablespoons – butter Oil/clarified butter, 20 – almonds branched and sliced
Put carrots and milk into a pressure cooker.
Close the pressure cooker. Bring to full pressure on high heat. Remove the pressure cooker immediately from heat. Release pressure with slight lifting of vent weight. Open the cooker.
Add sugar. Cook till liquid dries up(approximately 15 minutes), stirring occasionally.
Add solidified milk.
Cook till butter oil shows separately(approximately 10 minutes), stirring constantly.
