You can install a fan in a Wolff tanning bed yourself using basic tools. Installation only takes a couple of minutes. The fan is located at the foot end of the tanning bed and is designed to cool your body while tanning. These instructions are to install a Solaris fan in a Wolff tanning bed.
Step One
Remove the four screws on the vent cover at the foot end of the tanning bed using a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the cover and set it aside.
Step Two
Install the fan and fan housing into the supplied mounting holes of the tanning bed. The fan comes attached to the housing when you purchase the fan. Locate the mounting holes that are already in your Wolff tanning bed. They are close to the bottom of the bed. There are four holes.
Step Three
Place the fan into position and insert the 1 1/2-inch hex bolts through the mounting bracket on the fan into the mounting holes in the tanning bed. Tighten these bolts using a ratchet and socket.
Step Four
Connect the electric cord from the fan into the connector port on the bed by inserting the cord into the part on the tanning bed using your hand. The connector is located at the foot end of the tanning bed. When the fan electric cord is pressed into the connector, you will hear a click. Ensure the cord is tight by listening for a click sound.
Step Five
Re-install the vent cover and attach it to the tanning bed with the screws removed in step one. Tighten the screws using a Phillips screwdriver.
