THE POWER VERTER – A 24VDC to 12VDC voltage converter which offers a convenient way to operate mobile phones, in-car entertainment, professional communications and televisions. If your vehicle is diesel operated then this range is for you. The 14 products in this range are both tamper proof and easy to install. There is no need to fit a remote switch. The Power Verter comes with a mounting clip which is fixed in 3 points, allowing it to be mounted on uneven surfaces. Simply ‘click and fit’ it into position. A green LED indicates when there is output from the converter, giving reassurance to the installation engineer and speeding up fault finding. The Power Verters come in different forms, including a USB charger for your mobile or tablet.
THE DD SERIES – This is ideal if you need to fit 24V equipment onto a 12V electrical system. The DD series offers both bespoke and variant options and offers a range of different outputs to suit your needs. The latest addition to the range includes 2 high current (17 and 25 Amps output) units that use state of the art designs with efficiency up to 93%. Practically all components are mounted using computer controlled surface mount technology, resulting in a robust product with low component mass. The product comes with a highly successful mounting cradle that allows the unit to be fully wired before being clicked into place. This provides for a faster installation time and lowers the risk of screws falling out. 12-24V converters are available in two different cases – a standard Alfatronix aluminium case for the 72-240W and a heatsink casing for the larger 400W and 600W units. The DD series 12-24V products are available in either standard IP53 (like most Alfatronix converters) or the ruggedised IP65. These are more suited to when the installation is in a particularly hostile environment and subject to increased water and dirt exposure.
THE AD SERIES – Consisting of mains power supplies in 12V, 24V and 48V, these units may be used to supply mobile radios and other appliances from AC mains used in offices, cabins, ships, oil rigs etc. The units are compatible with European 230V ac or US 115V ac inputs. You would need to state your requirement as to the input you would need (input is via a standard IEC – 320 C3/14 power cord). As with many of our products, the AD series come with a T-shaped mounting clip which allows the power supplies to be installed quickly and ‘out of the way’ so that your power supplies aren’t trailing on the floor. The 3 point ‘T’ clip can be fitted securely on and surface and the power supply simply clips into place.
