Breeze blocks are a typical building block made of concrete and ash. These concrete blocks are usually known as breeze blocks or cinder blocks, even if ash is not present in them. In some parts of the world, these concrete blocks can also be manufactured along with gravel, clinker and sand, used as fillers. Breeze blocks are used in a variety of construction projects. They come in many different weights and densities, depending on the fillers being used and on the manufacturing method being utilized. Usually, for building of walls, lower density breeze blocks are used, while for building foundations, high density blocks are used. Most people use lower density breeze blocks to build garden or garage walls. Here’s how you can build a breeze block wall for yourself.
Lay the Foundation - Use high density breeze blocks to lay the foundation. The foundation should be twice as wide as the width of a breeze block and the depth too should be twice the size of the thickness of the breeze blocks. To level the foundation properly, use a leveler. Wait for the cement on the foundation to dry before putting up additional bricks for the wall.
