A damaged or worn dryer belt can affect the dryer’s heating and keep the dryer from tumbling clothes. The best way to fix the problem is to replace the belt. Contact the dryer’s manufacturer or an appliance store to order a replacement belt compatible with your dryer. Consult the owner’s manual before making any major adjustments.
Disconnect the dryer unit from its socket. Locate the lint screen on the top of the dryer or inside the door. If a latch isn't available, use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws that secure the screen in place.
