The iPhone 6 has a built-in email app is compatible with iCloud, Microsoft Exchange, Gmail, Yahoo, and many of the most popular Internet-based email service providers. If your email services isn’t listed, you can enter the information for virtually any mail service. It only takes a few minutes to setup your iPhone 4 so that you instantly receive all of your new email messages. You can then quickly write a reply to a message and send it off in a snap.
Step One
Adding Accounts - Open the Settings app. Tap "Mail, Contacts, Calendars". Tap "Add Account".
Step Two
Select your email service. If your service isn't listed, select "Other" and then tap "Add Mail Account".Hotmail/Windows Live users - Select "Outlook.com" from the list of email services.
Step Three
Enter your login information. After selecting your service, you will be asked to enter your email address and password. You can also give a description for the account.If you selected "Other" as your service, you will need to enter your outgoing and incoming mail servers. You can find this information on your mail service's support page.For "Other" accounts, you will also need to specify whether the account is IMAP or POP. If your service supports it, choose IMAP for more features and better cross-device syncing.
Step Four
Select what you want to sync with your iPhone 4. Depending on the service, you can sync your mail messages, contacts, calendars, and notes.Wait for your mail to sync. Depending on how many accounts you are adding and how many messages need to load, this could take several minutes.If your mail is not showing up, not syncing properly, or otherwise not working as expected, click here for some troubleshooting suggestions.
Step Five
Checking your Email - Open your Mail app. The Mail icon on the Home screen will show you the number of unread messages you have in your inbox. The Mail app is usually located on the dock so it can be accessed from any Home screen.Open the inbox. When you start the app, a list of your mailboxes will appear. You can view all of your accounts at once by tapping "All Inboxes". You can open individual inboxes by tapping the associated link. To return to this screen, tap the name of the inbox you are browsing in the top-left corner.
Step Six
Browse through your emails. When you've selected an inbox, all of your email messages will be displayed in the order that you received them. Tap a message to open itPinch the screen in and out to adjust the zoom. The open email text may appear small to you. Enlarge it by touching the screen with two fingers and spreading them apart. To scroll about the screen, slide your finger in the direction you want to go. To resize a column of text to fit the screen, double-tap the text.
Step Seven
Scroll through your emails. Tap the up and down arrows on the top right of the message screen to view the next or previous email in your inbox. To go back to your inbox, tap the “Inbox” arrow at the top left of the screen.
Step Eight
Add the email sender or recipient to your contact list. To do so, first tap the message and, if necessary, tap “Details” to see the recipients/senders. Then tap the desired name or email address. On the new screen, tap "Create New Contact" or "Add to Existing Contact".
