Both the White Russian and the Black Russian cocktails are the products of a single drink, the Russian, a cocktail made of gin and crème de cacao. Those ingredients have since been replaced by vodka and a coffee liqueur such as Kahlua, Tia Maria or Starbucks’ coffee liqueur. The difference between the White and Black Russian is the cream or milk that is added to the White Russian. An iconic cocktail glorified in the cult film classic “The Big Lebowski,” this drink is rich and creamy.
Measure 1 ounce of coffee liqueur with the measuring jigger and it pour into the glass.
Stir the drink carefully with the stirring spoon to mix in the light cream.
