Green tea is highly beneficial in healthy diets, but it is also a key component in a cake. It is possible to make a green tea layered cake with frosting, but this recipe is for a single layer cake with no icing.
Step Two
Whisk the eggs in a mixing bowl with the sugar. Mix the flour, 1 tbsp. of green tea, and the baking powder in another bowl. Add half of the flour mixture to the egg mixture and mix them together.
Step Three
Add half of the green tea brew to the batter and mix well. Add all of the leftover ingredients and mix until all of the ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.
Step Four
Butter the bottom and sides of a cake pan. Spoon the batter into the cake pan. Bake the cake for 40 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the cake comes out clean.
Step Five
Remove the cake from the oven. Let it cool for at least 10 minutes before serving it.
