'Minecraft' October Updates are a Big Deal for both VR And Tweakers. Minecraft is nearing updates that could drastically alter the way you play when you want to play with the game's mechanics... or simply take a trip into the virtual world. The update that will be available on October 18th for Minecraft's Windows 10, Pocket and Gear VR editions will introduce Add-Ons that let you alter how objects and characters behave by tweaking text files. Want giant chickens, or Creepers that cause massive explosions? It's simple to make. Minecraft Think of it as an entry point into the world of game mods without having to learn programming. VR users, meanwhile get better controller support. The Bluetooth-enabled Xbox One gamepad, similar to the one that comes with the Xbox One S, can be used in Windows 10 and Gear VR editions. Oculus Rift users can also utilize Oculus Touch hand controls. If Minecraft in VR is still an ordinary PC or mobile game at the moment, it should be a more distinctive experience following the update. The new software brings boss battles to Windows 10, Pocket, and Gear VR versions. Console users don't need to wait until the 18th for a new game. Microsoft and Mojang are coming out with a Chinese Mythology Mash-Up that, as the name suggests introduces a new world and characters that are influenced by the Chinese culture. You'll also find banners and more biological biomes that are logical, like Igloos and polar bears in the arctic regions. Xbox and Wii U gamers get this update on October 4th, and the PlayStation crowd gets it on the 5th.
