Too lazy or too tired to pull out that straightener to ‘do’ your hair? Then reach for your handy curling iron to straighten your hair instead. It’s recommended that you use this for bangs or your fringe or a small amount of hair – not your whole head, obviously if your hair is short, you can use this method on your whole head of hair. Read on from step one to use a product designed to do completely the opposite to easily straightened your hair.
Step One
Make sure your hair is clean and tangle-free. If your hair is dirty, or oily it is going to make it a lot harder to straighten your hair, so go ahead and wash your hair with moisturizing shampoo before you attempt to do this.
Step Two
Brush/comb your hair. If you hair has a lot of tangles in it, it will make it harder to pull the curler through your hair.
Step Three
Plug in the curling iron. Wait until it's hot before you use it.
Step Four
Get a single strand of hair, as much as you would usually curl at once or a little less if your hair is naturally very curly. Clasp the curler to the top of your strand of hair, as if it's a straightener. Once it is secure, slowly pull the curling iron down to the bottom of your hair. Don't curl it around like you usually would. Repeat this step until the desired sections are straightened. You don't want to try this if you cannot see yourself in a mirror, because you can make mistakes or burn yourself.
Step Five
Gently comb your hair with a wide-toothed comb to remove any tangles or frizzy strands.
