Stinger offers a wide array of bug zappers to remove mosquitoes and other flying insect pests from your yard. Stinger zappers use black light bulbs and a chemical called Octenol to lure the mosquitoes into the device. Once the mosquitoes enter the device, they are electrically shocked and they die. Periodically, Stinger mosquito zappers break down and need to be fixed and maintained. Clean and maintain the machine and bulbs for a longer lasting zapper.
Clean the machine using a soft brush and compressed air. Remove any insects sticking to and around the device. If the device has worked properly for any length of time, it should have killed many mosquitoes. If you have not removed the dead bugs from the machine, they may cause issues with performance as they build up.
