A T-Max timer is used in tanning booths. It is a device that allows the managers desk to control the number of minutes the client uses while in the booth. It is usually located close to the tanning bed. The client can start and stop the tanning bed, but cannot change the minutes the manager desk has given, even though there are up and down triangles indicating the addition or subtraction of minutes. The device is very easy to use, for both the client and the employees of the salon.
Step Two
Undress and apply your tanning lotion. If you are ready before the tanning bed starts, you may choose to go ahead and start the tanning bed. Press the start button. You may have to hold down for a full second before the bed turns on. The number of minutes you requested should appear on the screen.
Step Three
Lay, or stand depending on the tanning device, in the tanning bed. The T-Max timer will count down the minutes automatically for you. When your time is up, the T-Max timer shuts off the tanning bed automatically.
Step Four
Press the stop button any time you wish to quit the tanning session. This will automatically stop turn off the tanning bed. You will not be able to start the bed again unless you go to the front desk.
