The iPhone is a mobile smart phone designed by Apple and first released in 2007. The iPhone was originally designed with a two megapixel camera on the back of the phone, and later models have increased the number of cameras to two, each of which are five megapixels and capable of capturing high-definition images. The iPhone also has the ability to be used in conjunction with iPhoto. This is useful for transferring images from a phone to a Mac.
Step One
Slide a finger across the bottom of the screen to unlock the iPhone and connect it to a Mac with an iPod/iPhone-to-USB cable.
Step Two
Open iPhoto on the Mac and wait for the program to recognize the iPhone. When recognized, the iPhone will appear as a device on the left side of the screen.
Step Three
Select images to be imported after iPhoto opens the import window. Click "Import Selected" to move the images from the iPhone to the computer.
