The Samsung Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note II includes some photo editing options such as hand-written notes and basic photo enhancements, but to access full-featured graphics programs or to maintain a backup of your photos, transfer the pictures to your PC. The Galaxy Note tablet series supports two USB transfer modes. Camera mode is all you’ll need to import pictures, but you’ll also have access to pictures and other files using Media Device mode.
Step One
Connect the Galaxy Note to your computer using the USB charging/data cable, just as if you were charging the device with your computer.
Step Two
Enter the unlock code, password or pattern on the Note, if required.
Step Three
Swipe down from the top of the Note screen and tap "Connected as..." and select "Camera (PTP)" to access photo folders. Alternatively, tap "Media Device (MTP)" to access all folders.
Step Four
Press "Win-E" on the computer to launch File Explorer. Double-click the Galaxy Note from the Portable Devices section and open the "DCIM/Camera/" folder. You might also have pictures in your Pictures folder or a user-created folder.
Step Five
Hold the "Ctrl" key and click the pictures you want to import. Alternatively, press "Ctrl-A" to select all pictures and subfolders.
Step Six
Drag and drop the selected pictures to your Pictures library to copy them. After copying is complete, you can safely disconnect the device.
