Showers are one of the most common places in the home for black mould to grow. Bathrooms tend to have low air circulation and high humidity, so it is no wonder the shower makes for ideal mold breeding grounds. Not only is black mold unsightly, it can have adverse health effects as well. Clean up black mould from your shower sooner rather than later so the mould does not spread further.
Fill a clean, empty spray bottle with equal parts chlorine bleach and warm water. Add a few drops of ammonia-free dish soap, then shake the bottle gently to combine the ingredients.
Spray down the shower with white vinegar to prevent future mould growth. The acid in the vinegar will keep mould from growing and kill any remaining mould spores on the surface. Spray the vinegar every few days to keep mould at bay.
