You’re throwing your football when you notice it is starting to get flat. So what do you do? You inflate it of course! Inflating a football is a very easy and simple task, and this article will show you how to do it.
Step One
Look on the football for a place to insert the pump. On many footballs, there is a small black circle on one of the sides. This is where to insert your pump.
Step Two
It may be harder to insert the pump on some footballs. If you want the pump to go in more easily, get the black circle wet. You can pour some water on it, spit on it, whatever you have to do to get the area wet.
Step Three
Place the pump in the black circle. Make sure the needle is the right size and goes in smoothly, to avoid possibly damaging the football.
Step Four
After a few pumps, press the sides of the ball with your fingers. When it gets harder to push the sides in, that means the ball is sufficiently inflated. If you have a pressure gauge on your pump, then you can use this to inflate to the best pressure for the ball (this will be written on it, typically near the inflation hole).
